Jake Dixon was another of the riders who came to Knockhill a couple of weeks ago to test the new surface. He gave Dunc his take on the track and the potentially lightening-quick times that the new surface will provide when the BSB show rocks up for three days of super-fast racing over the weekend of 6/7/8 July.
Dixon, a double race winner from 2017 will be eager to keep up the momentum he’s built up just recently following a sluggish start to the 2018 campaign. Dixon’s team where also one of the first teams to post on social media a registered lap time from the test day, a 47.67sec lap. We also know that a certain rider did a race simulation, with every lap inside or on the 48 flat marker – so the proof is there that this will – depending on the weather – likely be the fastest Superbike event ever and we really can’t wait to see what the racing brings.
And the only place to book tickets to see all the drama unfold is via the Knockhill.com website of by calling our team on 01382 723337. If you have never been to the British Superbikes at Knockhill, it’s a thrill-a-minute day of entertainment with two feature BSB races, tons of support class racing, weekend camping and VIP Hospitality options are available and there are always opportunities to meet the riders and acquire the latest in team/rider merchandise.
Friday night will also see us host an Open Mic Night, so if you fancy a trip to Knockhill on Friday for the BSB practice sessions, say around and enjoy the light hearted entertainment in the Clubhouse later that night. Our own Duncan Vincent will be singing as well… and who knows, we might even get a few riders participating too.
