Well, yesterday we hosted the final pre-event test day for the Bennetts British Superbike riders with several top-teams in attendance. Leon Haslam, on board his JG Speedfit Kawasaki left it late to claim the fastest time of the day, which eclipsed the 47.6 second efforts of Glenn Irwin and Jake Dixon the previous week. Haslam rounded out the day with a 47.44 second effort – which now makes him the fastest man on 2-wheels around Knockhill – unofficially of course.
The current official race lap record of 48.2s which is held by reigning champion Shakey Byrne will certainly be in the firing line when the full Bennetts BSB championship, and all its support classes, head to Knockhill for three fantastically thrilling days of super-fast racing action over the weekend of 6/7/8 July. We all wish Shakey could be part of the show this year and wish him a speedy recovery. Make sure you buy your tickets in advanced and you could be a winner of a mega VIP prize below – and remember you can also pay at the gate on each event day too.
Additionally, we are offering someone the chance to join the BSB riders on the grid for race one on Sunday 8th July, as well as a hotel stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton at North Queensferry on the Saturday evening – a superb extra incentive to pre-book your tickets before our FRIDAY competition deadline (29thJune).
