It’s been a long and eventful journey for Jonny Adam, from his early days instructing at Knockhill to racing in and winning the World’s greatest race – the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
On a recent trip to Knockhill, we caught up with the most winningest driver in British GT Championship history to chat about those early days and his rise to prominence as part of the Aston Martin Racing stable.
Jonny can also wrap up his 3rd British GT crown this weekend when he and partner Flick Haigh enter the final round of the season at Donington Park. They enter with a comfortable 27.5 lead and should things go their way this weekend, they’ll both rewrite British GT Championship history. Jonny will become the only driver to ever win 3 British GT titles, and partner Flick will become the first woman to win a British GT title outright. A sixth place finish this weekend should do for the Optimum Motorsport pairing, but it’s hardly a done deal.
