On Sunday 4th November, we saw out the 2018 motorsports season with a bang at our Live-action Family Fun and Fireworks Event. Although, originally planned for the Saturday, the Knockhill events team decided to move the event to the Sunday due to monsoon weather conditions in and around Knockhill on the Saturday – thankfully, the weather was far more settled on Sunday and allowed all the action to go ahead as planned.
On track, fans enjoyed some stunt driving action from Kevin Carmichael, some drag racing with a stunning McLaren participating on the day. Elsewhere, there were vibrant demonstrations from Legends and Drift drivers and we saw some competitive Mini-Moto action with young kids racing head-to-head on their miniature motorcycles.
Additionally, in and around the paddock we had a final car show of 2018, alongside some kids themed activity, housed in the Technical Inspection Area, including face-painting, life-size characters, colouring-in and more. And, with two huge bonfires and a 10-minute long fireworks display, we rounded out the competitive season at Knockhill in style.
Thanks to all the people involved for participating and supporting the event. And thanks to all the families who ventured out on a Sunday evening for a spot of live-action at Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre.
Season Passes for 2019 are on sale now, subject to early-bird discounts until December. It’s a great way to enjoy more of your favourite types of motorsport action at Knockhill all year long, and comes with a number of additional benefits too.
Remember, we still have one event to go this year when we host the MSN Circuit Rally Championship on Sunday 9th December. Plans are afoot to make this another family friendly event – so stay tuned for further information coming soon.
