Grant Stages Rally | Knockhill Racing Circuit | Sunday 24th February
We’re all set for the first event of 2019 this weekend, when we welcome cars and crews for the Grant Construction Knockhill Stages Rally – the traditional season opener for the last 9 years.
It’s a full-on day of rally action using almost every inch of tarmac in and around the Knockhill venue (over 35 stage miles of competition) – taking in the race track, hillside rally stage and some perimeter road ways. Last year’s winners – John Marshall and Scott Crawford return to see if they can rack up another win ahead of a strong field with familiar names like Donnie MacDonald, John Rintoul, James Gibb and former car racer Alan Kirkcaldy all set to compete.
There is also a Knockhill connection out on stage this weekend as Steven Hay – one of our Driving Instructors competes in his Class 2 Vauxhall Corsa. Whilst, fresh from a 3rd place finish in the 2018 Super Lap Scotland series, which runs at Knockhill, Lewis MacDougall will pick up the pace notes this weekend with the aim of steering Robert Marshall to victory in the Grant Stages.
