This weekend will see Knockhill, in
association with Tartan Tarmac, a lively club for car owners in Scotland,
present out first ‘Big Day Oot’ event. The event itself is an amalgamation of
content including music, show cars, special exhibits, on track action and
special demonstrations.
Here’s a quick run down of What’s On with
Duncan Vincent:
Topping the bill will undoubtedly be a
former Footwork F1 car being put through its paces by owner, and multiple Scottish
Legends Champion, John Paterson. John’s been eager to get back behind the wheel
ever since his exploratory outing at our SMRC event a few months back; and
we’re sure he’ll be keen to put on a show for those attending on Sunday. Just
remember to bring your earplugs because the scream from the V10 engine is
extreme.
Elsewhere, we’ll have Kevin Carmichael
Stunts here displaying his unique brand of 4-wheel entertainment, as well as
live music in the paddock from Cherry Red 53 and Dirty Harry – a Blondie
Tribute Band. Additionally, we’ll have demos from the Scottish Legends
Championship and Knockhill’s own Super Lap Scotland Championship. Track action will
come in the shape of two car trackday sessions and at lunchtime we’ll have some
drag racing and bike vs car challenges.
Check out the website for a full list of
what’s on.
Tickets for the event can be booked online
now, subject to pre-booking discounts and if you wish to show your car on-site,
there is still plenty of time. Just head online to Knockhill.com and follow the
‘Show Car’ booking form.
