The 11th running of the Grant Construction Rally at Knockhill promises to be one of the hardest battles for the leading contenders on Sunday 23rd February. Whilst the entry is lower than usual around 30 – 35 crews are expected with an impressive one third in the top Class 5, all with a chance of outright victory.
Leading the way for overall honours, arguable, are the rivals of John Marshall and Alan Kirkcaldy. Both are in Ford Fiesta R5s and both are really getting to grips with their top line machinery. Others that will feature are Donnie Macdonald in his Evo 9, Robert Marshall in his Subaru Impreza, and Harry and Andy Chalmers. With 10 Class 5 cars entered, however, it is hard to pick a winner prior to the event.
The rally starts at 9am with around 35 miles of stages to test the crews, all based at Knockhill.
