On the eve of our second outing of the season for the Super Lap Scotland and ModSports series, it’s time to cast our eyes back to the action from round 1 with highlights from the opening event of the year.
A late call meant that the proceedings wouldn’t stand for Championship points, however, we’re now up to full-speed and this upcoming weekend will undoubtedly see the competitive edge return to both SLS and ModSports action.
Resident TV host Duncan Vincent talks you through the action from our first event highlighting the fastest driver from each of the eight SLS classes. There were some mighty impressive lap times with several new drivers to the series laying down a warning that they are not here just to make up the numbers.
This weekend’s action, unfortunately will once again take place behind closed doors, however we are very hopeful that fans will be allowed back to Knockhil in the not too distant future.
Aside from the regular SLS and ModSports action, we also have some additional race series competing this weekend in the shape of the Northern Saloons and Sports Car Championship and the Junior Saloon Car Championship. The action will take place over both Knockhill track configurations with the anti-clockwise layout featuring on Saturday and the traditional clockwise layout featuring on Sunday.
