Good news BTCC fans, with Scotland ready to move beyond Level 0 on Monday 9th August – barring a last-minute change from the Scottish Government or a drastic increase in the prevalence of the virus which forces Fife to move to Level 1 or above – we can confirm today that we are planning to host a full crowd at the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship event on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August.
With the proposed move beyond Level 0, this also means that the Event cap – currently set to 1000 spectators for outdoor sports – will also be lifted. Therefore, we anticipate that the British Touring Car event at Knockhill will be a full capacity spectator event. Tell your family, friends and colleagues and get along to Knockhill this August for a superb weekend of BTCC racing. We’d love to have you here.
If we remain in Level 0, there are plans in place to host a large crowd with Covid-19 mitigations in place. Hopefully that will give everyone the confidence they need to go out and make their 2021 BTCC plans.

It also means that our proposed camping plans will remain in place, our Trade customers can also come back for the BTCC event and most importantly, fans can once again be present at one of our biggest events of the year.
We have yet to confirm whether the paddock will be open to race fans and there will almost certainly be some kind of Covid-19 protocols in place at the venue for spectators and those attending Team VIP Hospitality – but we’ll confirm these details when we have further clarification from the motorsport governing bodies.
If you’d like to attend the event at Knockhill on 14th and 15th August, please pre-book all your tickets in advance via the Knockhill website. Look forward to seeing you all in August.
Note: In the unlikely event that Fife moves up to Level 1 or 2 on Monday 9th August, then our Covid-19 guarantee will ensure anyone who misses out will receive a credit, refund or transfer to the 2022 event.
