The Grant Construction Knockhill Stages Rally returns this February (Sunday 20th) – the traditional season-opener at Knockhill Racing Circuit will once again attract some of Scotland’s top drivers for a day of competition around the Knockhill track and wider venue.
With competitors set to tackle almost 40 stage-miles across 10 individual stages it’s sure to be an excellent day of competition. The Grant Stages returns to Knockhill for this year, following its postponement last year due to the ongoing pandemic. It’s great to have the annual curtain-raiser event back at Knockhill which will be the 12th time the event has been held at the circuit.
A strong entry list of 50 drivers has been assembled across the classes with a few notable names making their way to Fife this weekend to hopefully add their names to the Grant Stages winners’ list. In Class 5 we have the likes of John Marshall (Fiesta Rallye 2) a multi-time winner at the Grant Stages, Alistair Inglis (Fiesta Rallye 2) and Andy Scott (Fiesta S2000 Turbo), whilst Donny MacDonald (runner up in 2020), Kyle Adam (third in 2020) and Knockhill’s own Stven Hay will be out there competing in his Vauxhall Corsa with Cameron Dunn acting as his co-pilot.
Here’s Dunc with a quick preview:
And here’s some highlights from the last event in 2020 – which saw Alan Kirkcaldy claim the spoils in his Fiesta R5. Can Donny MacDonald and Andrew Falconer go one better this time around or can Kyle Adam produce some more magical driving around the twists and dips of Knockhill and take the outright win in his MkII Escort… join us to find out.
Tickets can be prebooked online, an email confirmation with your QR coded tickets will be sent to you which can be shown on your mobile device to secure entry to the Circuit on Sunday 20th February. Action will get underway from 9am and conclude around 4pm. Gates will be open from 8am.
See you all there!
