The team at Knockhill are thrilled to announce a partnership with French sports car manufacturer Alpine, with a fleet of multi-award-winning A110s becoming the main track experience cars for the start of the 2024 season. Alpine have an incredible pedigree in motorsport which continues at the very pinnacle of motorsport, with their F1 cars driven by Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.

But it’s their diminutive sports car that has captured the world’s motoring press, with the A110 landing numerous awards since launch, including Top Gear’s “Performance & Sports Car of the Year”, Autocar’s “Five-Star car”, Octane magazine’s “Car of the Year” and Evo Magazine’s “Coupe of the Year”.

Gordon Shedden, 3 times British Touring Car Champion, said “We always strive to provide the best for our driving experiences and the Alpine A110 ticks every box for us, and more! With their involvement in F1, Alpine are a brand on the rise and the A110 is the perfect track training car for us. The cars will arrive at Knockhill for the start of the 2024 season, supported by Specialist Cars Alpine Aberdeen and Arnold Clark Alpine Glasgow, and will be used as the instructor coaching car for the Formula Single Seater Experiences, Legends, Supercars and Performance Driving Courses. As a result, 1000s of customers a year will experience just why this special car has been awarded five stars, and significantly enhances the thrill of driving Knockhill, Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre.

Max said, “I’m really looking forward to coming back to compete at Knockhill in the rallycross. It’s going to be kinda cool especially as it’s the first event to use the newly named McRae’s Corner at the start of the loose section. I’ve not completed in a rallycross before but with its quick-fire short race format, there’s always some great action for the drivers and fans alike. I can’t wait- it’s gong to be a blast!”

Dexter, a friend of the KMSC was last seen handing out the annual awards last February to the club championships.

Dexter said, “I don’t have a lot of track experience at Knockhill, so this is perfect for me to just enjoy driving the Legend car and gain track time ahead of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship when I will get back behind the wheel of my Team-Hard Cupra“.

The weekend starts differently for the racers with the traditional Anti Clockwise Saturday being moved to Sunday with the first day being Clockwise,  which also brings several drivers and teams from the Elite Cup Legends who will race at Knockhill during the BTCC event on the 12-13^th August More Event Info

It will be the first time that TCR UK has competed
at the venue since its initial visit back in 2018.

Chris Smiley, defending TCR UK Champion, will be
hoping that his Knockhill experience will set him a few steps above the rest as
the Northen Irish racer started his car racing career on this very circuit and
hopes to show the speed, he and his Honda Civic possess around our
International Circuit.

The first outing will be at Scottish Ford Live on Sunday 21^st May with a Benetton B190 and at Supertruck Scotland on August 26^th & 27th, the same car is due to return together with other extreme race cars, including a Le Mans racer.

We’re set to welcome thousands of fans to the circuit over the evening of Saturday 5^th November from 3pm to 6pm. The event will unfold with gaggles of entertainment for families, both on track and in the paddocks with kids entertainment high on the agenda for event planners.

Professional fireworks company, Edinburgh Fireworks will once again be on hand to administer and deliver a 15-minute firework display from 5:45pm that will spectacularly light up the evening sky in and around the hairpin area of Knockhill.

A raft of content is already in place and will continue to expand as we head towards the event. Safe to say that three hours of action and entertainment in and around the dynamic Knockhill venue will keep everyone amused.
