Daniel Lloyd drove his West Coast Racing Volkswagen Golf TCR car to pole position for Sunday’s (13th May) opening race. Lloyd posted a scorching time of 50.823secs to fend of local driver Aiden Moffat by just 0.251s.
Andreas Backman, in the second West Coast Racing Volkswagen looked odds on to take third position on the grid, only for Ollie Taylor to find a scintillating lap behind the wheel of his Pyro Motorsport Honda Civic Type-R TCR car, demoting the young Swede to fourth place by just 0.684s.
The first of the TCR UK races starts at 10.25am and will see an open grid walk take place from 10.05am – which is free to all spectators. The second race of the day will take place at 14.24pm and will see Sean Walkinshaw lead from pole position.
As well as the headline TCR UK races, we’ll also see a full supporting race programme from the following classes across a 14 race-programme scheduled to start at 8.30am.
Advanced (discounted) tickets for the event can be booked online until midnight tonight – subject to collection at the track tomorrow. Alternatively, tickets will be available on the gate throughout the event.
