Musselburgh’s Graham Carroll dominated the opening double-header of the CRS Scottish Formula Ford Championship when he won both rounds at Knockhill.
Carroll, piloting his Van Diemen racer, finished ahead of Glasgow’s David Brown in both races to establish a healthy lead in the title race.
In the ‘Battle of the Butchers’, 21-year-old Rory Butcher finished ahead of his sister and Knockhill managing director, Jillian - who is married to BTCC ace Gordon Shedden - in both rounds.
Rory battled through to fourth in the opener before an engine misfire saw him drop back to eighth, still three places ahead of his sister.
He followed that up though with third place in the second race, with Jillian eighth. Duns racer Stuart Thorburn finished third in the opening round behind Carroll and Brown.
In the Scottish Legends Championship, which formed part of the opening Scottish Motor Racing Club meeting, there were wins for David Thorburn (Blanefield), John Marshall (Alloa) and Stevie Coull.
The most consistent driver though was Carol Brown. The Comrie ace finished all three races on the podium with two seconds and one third.
