Stephen Jardine, the well known presenter of Scottish Television’s ‘The Five Thirty Show’ managed to survive unscathed when he made his motor racing debut today (Sunday) at Knockhill Racing Circuit.
It was a case of ‘in at the deep end’ for the likable 44 year old Dad who succeeded in bringing the ‘celebrity’ entered Mini Cooper home unmarked in his 3 separate 8 lap races in the Smartycars.com Mini Cooper Cup.
Said excited Stephen at the end of his 3rd race “I have had an immense day I’ll never forget and now I know why Motor Racing can be so addictive”.
Wearing a flameproof race suit in place of his normal smart television attire, Stephen added “I’m relieved not to have damaged my loan car but if I’m lucky enough to be invited back, I’ll be there in a flash, utterly fantastic.”
