Marino Franchitti, a former Knockhill employee and now highly successful racing driver in America paid a visit back to Knockhill today.
Racing a Lola Mazda for Dyson Racing in the American Le Mans Series, and fresh from racing an Aston Martin at Le Mans, the sports car star dropped in to chat to his old colleagues on a rare visit to Scotland. Now based in London, the former West Lothian racer is also a two wheeled fan as he rides a KTM in the streets of London and also follows the BSB closely and is hoping the fellow Scottish star Stuart Easton does well this weekend. Marino took time out to be pictured here with his old boss and Circuit Manager Ian Forrest and recorded a short video message of support for Stuart this weekend.
Marino’s next race is at Lime Rock in Connecticut, a circuit he likened to Knockhill in character, and all at his home circuit wish him continued success in the American Le Mans Series.
