Hot on the heels of some amazing Formula One action at the Scottish Motor Show, its the turn of some classic Formula One demos with the first ever appearance of the Malboro McLaren Formula One that took James Hunt to his World Championship in 70’s.
Hunt was one of the most charasmatic racers ever and his McLaren became one of the most famous cars ever in F1 as he narrowly pipped Nicky Lauda’s Ferrari in the rain soaked Japanese GP to take the title. Even Hunt did not know for sure that he had taken the Championship until after the race.
The current owner of the car, Frank Lyons will drive while his wife will also drive a F5000, and their son Mikey will also be at the meeting too. Mikey is currently racing in the Formula Renault Championship with from running team CRS Scuderia. Tickets for the event are available in advance or at the gate, priced £15 for adults.
