Known world-wide for his gritty voice and guitar playing prowess, rock star CHRIS REA is racing a Ferrari at this weekend’s 5th Scottish Classic SpeedFair.
Rea, a life long Ferrari fanatic, will be making his debut at Knockhill at the wheel of a 30 year old Ferrari 308 GT in the Pirelli Classic Ferrari Championship.
In addition to the racing Ferrari’s, the Ferrari Owners Club are having a gathering on Sunday 27th as well as a track parade, making it one of the biggest, if not THE biggest gathering of the legendary marque ever in Scotland.
The SpeedFair will also see the World Championship winning McLaren Formula One Car of James Hunt on track, as well as an ex-Martin Brundle Tyrrell.
Event Director Stuart Gray said, “I can’t wait for the SpeedFair event on Sunday. There is no doubt the quality of both racing and display vehicles is superb. Around 300 display cars, racing Ferrari’s, Formula One’s and even a 5 litre V8 VW Beetle. There is something for everyone!”
Track action starts at 9am each day with adult admission £5 on Saturday and £15 Sunday. Full event information is available on http://www.knockhill.com/events/scottish-speedfair.php
