The sight, sound and smell of two classic FORMULA ONE cars will be just one of the highlights of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship meeting on September 4th and 5th.
Both a Surtees and a Hesketh Formula One cars will blast their way round the track on both Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September as part of the fabulous entertainment on offer. Frank and Judy Lyons made a great impression at the Classic SpeedFair in June and loved the circuit so much, that they are back for more fun!
Elsewhere, local star Johnathan Adam will be racing the guest Ginetta G50 within the support races. The 180mph sports car was previously driven by Formula One ace designer Adrian Newey of Red Bull Racing, with Johnathan’s local knowledge and huge experience in a whole host of cars, he is sure to be gunning for a podium position, if not the top slot. Said Events Director Stuart Gray “He has a great following and I’m sure the saltires will be flying when he’s on track.”
Add two giant TV screens, a lunchtime parade of Knockhill experience cars, an autograph session, paddock walkabout session AND the return of the Renaults after 4 years, the Dunlop BTCC meeting is sure to be a classic, especially if Scots star Gordon Shedden (BTCC), Lewis Williamson (Formula Renault), Dave Newsham (Renault Clio) and Glyn Geddie (Porsche Carrera Cup) all do well in their races too.
Action starts at 9am each day with gates opening at 8am on Saturday 4th and 7am on Sunday 5th.
