The curtain came down on the 2010 Scottish Championship car racing season at Knockhill today (Sunday 17th October). With several championships still undecided it turned out to be a highly entertaining day.
There were championship wins for several racers including Craig Brunton (Formula Ford), Rory Bryant (Fiesta ST), Oly Mortimer (Mini), Stan Bernard (Classic Sports and Saloons) as well other class and title winners. (Full details can be found via the SMRC website).
The Scottish Car Racing events at Knockhill, organised by the Scottish Motor Racing Club have been highly competitive all year long. Stuart Gray, Knockhill Events Director commented:
“The Scottish Car Racing scene has seen an increase in competitor numbers this year and that bodes well for 2011.
“Everyone at Knockhill would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in these events, the marshals, competitors, SMRC, commentators and of course the fans who come out to support their favourite drivers.
“We’re already looking forward to a bumper motor racing calendar next year and look forward to welcoming everyone back!”
2011 Knockhill Season Passes are on sale now and can be purchased at 2010 prices until the 31st December. British Touring Cars, British Superbikes and the Scottish Motorshow have already been confirmed for next year. It promises to be another action packed year at Knockhill and we’d love to see you here.
