The Institute of the Motor Industry (the IMI) awarded Knockhill Racing Circuit the Skillmiles Alba Award for 2011 for the best Supporting Organisation Category at the Scottish Motor Trade Association / IMI Annual Dinner recently.The award was in recognition for Knockhill’s work with supporting and encouraging all educational establishments, from Primary schools to Universities to engage with the motor industry. Examples in 2011 have been “Student Saturday,” part of the Official Scottish Motor Show in May, and a national pit stop Challenge competition.
Events Director Stuart Gray who received the award on behalf of Knockhill said, “We hope that the participation in these activities will inspire the work force of the future to follow a career in the motor industry, an industry that is one of the biggest private business sectors in the UK.”
