Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki rider Shane Byrne posted the quickest time in morning warm up at Knockhill today. Byrne lapped the circuit in a time of 49.200 seconds to top the time sheets ahead of Graeme Gowland and Tommy Hill.
Josh Brookes posted the fourth quickest time although suffered at the back end of the circuit by crashing out. Brookes initially thought he might have hit a rabbit, but no subsequent reports have surfaced to back this up.
“We changed the set-up this morning and perhaps l was pushing too hard, l just lost the front. I’m fine and the bike doesn’t look to bad, so we’ll get everything sorted and be ready for the races,” said Brookes.
The 1st MCE British Superbike race is scheduled to go around 1pm with their second outing of the day at 4pm. Tommy Hill lines up on pole, but will need to be on guard as some of his main championship rivals occupy the grid slots around him.
Alongside the BSB races, we’ll also have plenty of other races to keep you entertained right through to 5.45pm this evening. Monster Energy Motostar, National 600 & 1000 Superstock, British Sidecars and Knockhill Motor Sports Club Superstock 600 races making a guest appearance this weekend.
