Tonight offers the final opportunity to watch the Stock Car Summer Series at Knockhill (from 6pm). It’s three hours of eye-popping entertainment on the Knockhill Tri-Oval Circuit. If you think there is plenty of ‘rubbing’ in Touring Cars, you really haven’t seen anything yet.
Topping the bill will be the BriSCA F2s with National, European and Scottish Champion Gordon Moodie looking to fend off a strong challenge from Chris Burgoyne. The feature race will form part of the “Track Points Championship”, with both men vying for the title. Others to watch out for in this series include Derek Ashcroft, Stephen Forster, Holly Glen and Jason McDonald who are all capable of picking up some really good results.
Some exciting racing is expected in the Saloon Stock car races!
Two men to look out for in the Saloon Stock car series include National Champion Gordon Alexander, also the current saloon points leader. And, Stuart Shevill Junior a National Points Champion. Recently the entertainment on offer in this series has been spectacular and you can expect more of the same tonight when these fierce competitors take to the Circuit.
It’s a 2 way fight in the Lightening Rod series with Lindsay Wilson and John Sibbald set to battle it out for some valuable race wins. Both know that they will need to be in top form to suppress the other potential winners in this class. Lightening Rod newcomer, Tam Page will be hoping to survive what will surely be, a baptism of fire when he makes his debut at Knockhill this evening.
The Lattka brothers continue to be the dominant force in the Stock Rod series. Make no mistake, brotherly love goes out the window when these two head out onto track. Siobhan Martin, Alasdair Roger and Andy Grant will have the duo in their sights and are all well capable of beating the brothers here this evening.
Action will start around 6pm with the gates open from 5 onwards for spectator entrance. Tickets for the event can be purchased via the Knockhill website or purchased at the gate when you arrive.
