I am shocked not surprised, frustrated for the Scottish economy I will just throw out there.

Both myself, my dad and loads of others have attended so many events. The recent drift championships held at Knockhill being one and I have to say it was a fantastic day! Brilliant on ALL accounts, yes even the toilets were immaculate.

Within the first minute of attending there was a WOW FACTOR in the warm-up drift spot. That was a wow moment built on as the hours passed…and will never be forgotten.

This post and registration response I have to say comes under the “Knock hill Racing Scotland” search I typed in Google and thinking I had nothing in particular planned, have a kit car built from scratch and this weekend fancied some action.

OK MY POINT. I never knew about RALLY SCOTLAND and yet I have attend so many events at Knockhill Racing Circuit Scotland?!?

At no time have I received an informative email about above events, Why?

At no time when I arrive do I get asked for my email address or details? Why?

At no time have I been invited as a local business owner based in Scotland to attend and promote/network, Why?

I could ramble for hours on this so I will save everybody’s time and say look to local small businesses in Scotland to do it right.

Quote “But the biggest battle remains getting diehard Scots rally fans, traditionally used to scrambling through the forest stages to watch the action for free, to dig deep into their pockets to pay for the right to watch RallyScotland”

Rambling is to suggest a passion in search for something and has nothing whatsoever to do with penny pinching.

Value for money yes, paying for over priced burgers no. A WOW factor is worth rambling, yes!!!! Even with kids. Its fun. Paying to park near that spot fair enough… come on!!!!

Everybody has paid through the nose for petrol to get there in the first place…

Its not about fans having to dig deep! We are no fools. Its about being told the event is on. Told about choices and being wowed. That moment is simple and can be captured it just depends how you do it EVENT SCOTLAND.

As an event organiser you do know its about stimulating, building an audience looking for scalable entertainment at a responsible price. Extra wow could mean extra money if possible.

I am not a credit card but memories are priceless.

I am going to now Google “Rally Scotland” and find out what its all about and see if I can compete 😉

What a fantastic time I had, everyone could not have been more helpful or enthusiastic especially my instructor Scot.
A wonderful experience for anyone with the slightest love of cars and speed, a must for rally lovers who can not afford the time or money to compete.Told the wife that I want to do it every time we travel north to see the ‘outlaws’

Comment on Boogie ‘v’ Arlene Driving Challenge at Knockhill by Events https://www.knockhill.com/wordpress/2009/11/boogie-v-arlene-driving-challenge-at-knockhill/comment-page-1/#comment-82 Thu, 26 Nov 2009 17:07:19 +0000 http://www.knockhill.com/wordpress/?p=569#comment-82 What a great day…the boys versus the girls with Boogie and Dingo. The Boys Team up against Arlenes Girls Team. Such was the interest, we even had avid listeners dropping in to see the action which included Boogie head to head with Arlene in the Ferrari 360 and Dingo being matched against Knockhill MD Jillian Shedden for the single seater driving.

The final TeenDrive part happens on Saturday, then all will be revealled next week, so be sure to tune in…its going to be close!!

Both will feature at the sharp end of the grid.
