Super Lap Scotland | 2016 Provisonal Regulations |
|||||||||||||||||
I’m delighted to announce that we are now in a position to release the Provisional 2016 Super Lap Scotland Regulations and these can be viewed via the link at the bottom of the page. It’s an exciting moment and we hope this gives everyone enough time to build their cars to their chosen class specification and obtain the correct licencing with lots of time to spare!!
Overview In 2016 Super Lap Scotland will be adopting elements of the MSA Time Attack UK regulations which will be published in the Blue Book, as a whole they are much the same as our current regs with a few subtle changes, which we believe will take the series another step forward. We elected to do this so we can have more flexibility in how we run the event as well as a much clearer, easier to use licencing structure. The great thing is we get to keep our Power to Weight class tier system which has become a real strong point of the series!! Overall it’s a positive move for us making it easier for new and current competitors to understand. With the new regulations there will be some differences from 2015 and to help everyone understand how the championship will shape up in 2016 I have provided a brief explanation of any changes that will be implemented below. Event Format
Power to Weight
Scoring With SLS growing in popularity the 2016 scoring system will allow the top 15 competitors score points in both Qualifying and the Final. We hope this will create even closer competition. See below;
