BTCC star Aiden Moffat will be guest driver in the Courier Connections backed Minimax Motorsport Mini Cooper this Sunday. The car has been supplied by Martin McGeough as part of a fund raising campaign for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).
Aiden Moffat explained: ‘The idea of it is that Martin will have guest drivers in the car throughout the year in order to raise the profile of what he is trying to accomplish. At the end of the season, the car will then be raffled off for £10 per ticket, the winner becoming the new owner of this Mini Cooper racing car, and all money raised from ticket sales going to CHAS.’
As he settles into his third full season of the hotly contested British Touring Car Championship, Aiden reflected on swapping his mighty Laser Tools Racing Mercedes-Benz A-Class touring car for the nimble Mini: ‘I am really looking forward to racing a Mini, it’s a while since a drove one and I know the class is super competitive, so I am just going out to have fun and do the best that I can. I have not driven a car with a manual gearbox since the start of 2014, so it will be interesting to see how I get on!’
Tickets will be available later in the season, and you can keep up to date with the Courier Connections Race Car Raffle on their Facebook page:

Racing starts at 10:30am on Sunday 1st May at the Knockhill Circuit.
