The next rounds of the Scottish and KMSC Bike Racing Championships take place at Knockhill this weekend (Sat 4th and Sun 5th June). Aside from a full-on 31-race programme fans will also be able to take a trip down memory lane as we host our third Rewind Festival – featuring bikes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Knockhill Club president, Naill Mackenzie will also be on site and on track aboard some of his all-time favourite machinery (Fizzy’s and LCs – as he puts it). Our two 15 minute track sessions for Rewind bikes have sold out, however you could still be part of event, joining up to 66 classic bike enthusiasts in the paddock who’ll all be displaying their bikes. It’s only £5 to show your bike – Knockhill Rewind Booking Form(1) – and you could have your bike lined up alongside a gaggle of classic machinery from the likes of Yamaha, Honda, Aprilia, Kennymoto, Suzuki and more. And, with the MCE British Superbike only a couple of weeks away, Niall has arranged to bring up his BSB Championship-winning Boost bike; which will be on display this weekend and at Supebike event.

The main track activity at the event will of course be the 31 Scottish and KMSC Championship races, featuring races from six different Championship classes including:

In the Scotwaste Superbike and Clubman series, a number of riders will be looking to adjust to life back on track following a stint on the roads at the North West 200 – Donald MacFadyen, Bruce Birnie, Adrian Clark and Kris Duncan; with all three strong contenders for podiums this weekend. However, they’ll have to bring their A-game to the 40-point gap between Birnie (3rd) and Andrew Tasker and John Dean at the head of the field.
In the Superstock 600 races sponsored by Bitwise, expect Lewis Rollo to continue his fine form as he heads towards his first BSB home encounter on 24 to 26 June. The young teenage racer has impressed in his first season aboard 600cc machinery and has even claimed his first National win this season at Oulton Park. He should face some stiff competition this weekend from the likes of Paul McClung, Callum Grigor and Sean Cooper – making his first KMSC outing this season. Also on the grid for the Superstock 600 races is young Irish racer Korie McGreevy – making his KMSC debut at Knockhill this weekend.
Here’s a look back at what happened at the first event of the year in the Scotwaste Superbike and Clubman Class:
A total of 142 riders will take to the track this weekend, a new record for a Knockhill Motor Sports Club reverse circuit meeting. Action will take place both days with practice, qualifying and racing on Saturday; and another race-heavy schedule on Sunday – as well as the Rewind Festival.
Tickets for the event can be booked online via the Knockhill.com website or on the day of the event subject to on-the-gate pricing. Pre-booking tickets via the Knockhill website also saves money.
