50 years ago, on the 22nd of September 1974, the motorcycle racing scene changed forever with the opening of Knockhill Racing Circuit. The dream of Tom Kinnaird became a reality as Knockhill hosted its first event, a bike meeting. Fast forward 50 years, and we are hosting a special 50th Birthday party to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a multi-discipline bike festival that will feature bike sport both on and off track, our REWIND FESTIVAL for bikes from the 70's, 80's and 90's, Sidecar racing, endurance races and so much more (details to be announced in the New Year).
The 50th Anniversary festival event will be unlike any other we have hosted. Not only will there be stars who have featured over the 5 decades of Knockhill, but the selection of bike activities, both on and off track, will excite and entertain old and young alike as we celebrate our 50th season.
Working closely with the SACU, the event will host a multitude of bike sport with endurance races (possibly with Le Mans style starts!), Sidecar races, trials, Super Moto, Mini Motos, infact a wide variety of bike sports will be present, and in action, through-out the event.
It will be a must for all fans of bike sport, bike riding and above all, fans of Knockhill too!

Please remember that Knockhill is an outdoor venue and you should dress appropriately for that. There can be changeable weather conditions therefore extra clothing and sensible footwear is advised, with trainer type shoes or walking boots preferred (no leather soles or high heels please).
Being on a hillside, the spectator bankings and some pathways are steep, so please take extra care when moving around the site. As we are a motorsport venue, no dogs are allowed on site apart from Guide Dogs.
Additional clothing, hats, gloves and sun cream can be purchased from the Circuit Office should you require. We look forward to seeing you at Knockhill and very much hope you enjoy your visit.
